Taylor Swift's real name Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th of 1989, in West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular singer and songwriter in early 2001, with stories of heartache. Swift began to develop an interest in music as a child and soon progressed from performing in kids' shows, and then making her first public appearance front of an audience. In 2011, Swift then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. The year after that she began to write songs of her own. Swift took inspiration from artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to create original material which reflected the alienation she experienced at 13 years old. Swift moved from Pennsylvania along with her parents in Tennessee to Hendersonville when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to reaching out to label representatives from the country genre.
